2010 San Luis Obispo GIS Day

2010 GIS Day in San Luis Obispo

GIS Day was held at the downtown San Luis Obispo library on November 17, 2010.

There were a couple hundred attendees, 13 exhibitors, numerous maps, and a proclamation from outgoing Mayor Dave Romero.

In addition to GIS practitioners, the event attracted a number of their coworkers, especially those from the County of San Luis Obispo, and the City of San Luis Obispo.

2010 GIS Day San Luis ObispoCal Poly students helped set up the event and took advantage of the exposure to the concentration of working professionals.

The downtown location also drew a number of passers by who enjoyed refreshments (courtesy of Central California URISA), and appreciated seeing some of the products resulting from the use of GIS technology in their community.Photos of the event can be found at
